"Tut Tut it looks like rain" { Battermann family }

"Tut tut it looks like rain..." says Brianna, Ashley and Ian...this quickly became the saying of the day while shooting the Battermann Family. With umbrellas and family in tow we venturend onto the trails of Heritage Park (Renton, WA). The very distinct personalities of the three Batterman kids offered many laughs and photo opportunities to good to be planned...DEFINITLY keeping me on the ball and ready to capture! On a personal note this family has become a very dear part of our lives (The Clarks)...John and Laurie (mom and dad) walked Sean and I through premarital counsling three years ago and have since become very close friends of ours. Their children are like extended siblings for Stella (even naming baby dolls after her) and love on her every chance they get. This relationship is greatly cherished and a joy it was to be able to share in a time such as family pictures!!

The three personalities...

Ashley

Ian

This was the "I promise its the last picture" picture :-)

Baby Love { Elijah }

In my "job" I get the opportunity to share in the lives of many...invited to capture moments others might never get to see or be apart of had it not been for the pictoral story I get to tell. Those stories come to life because of the people who open up there lives and let me be apart of it...and often I get "add to" these stories with a new event, like the birth of a new baby. Introducing Elijah Joshua-John Morris, born November 30th 2010 to my dear friends Josh and Justine Morris (see "The Morris/Rylah Family" session) and baby brother to Avi . This was such a special opportunity to be able to take pictures of there second born and first boy! Watching their family grow over the last couple of year has been such a joy and I look forward to many more years of being apart of, and hopefully capturing, their beautiful life and family.

"Marraige, is what bwings us twogether, twoday" (Homage to Princess Bride)

October 16th, 2010 could not have been a more perfect day for a wedding. Bright golden sunshine, crisp autumn air, life long friendships and close family bonds made this a day to remember for ALL involved. For Amy and John this day spoke of a lifetime of personal commitments and hard work, eventually leading to each other and this day.Amy, a long time family friend of 15 years, is a woman of great character... the best word to describe her is "STOIC"...think Wonder Woman meets Audrey Hepburn. Classic beauty and charm, but a defender of what is good and right and will kick some tail if needed...definitely someone you want on your side. :-) In all the years I have know Amy I cannot actually remember her EVER having a boyfriend...But for anyone who TRULY knows Amy, this doesn't seem "odd" and not because she is NOT relationship material, but more so whomever was going to win this woman's heart had to be OVER QUALIFIED (so to speak) for the job! Enter John Platt, all those years of wondering what kind of a man could honorably and rightly care for this woman end the moment   you meet John. Though I have not had the pleasure of spending alot of time with him it is apparent just upon meeting him that his spirit exudes graciousness, honorability, and genuine kindness. Amy, you are good hands :-) Congratulations and Blessings to you both as you begin your happily ever after...
(NOTE: I was not the primary wedding day photographer( that credit goes to Stephen Probert Photography),I was however given the pleasure of doing Amy's hair and make up for her wedding day. But of course had my camera on hand and all the pictures below were taken by me.)

Mr. Will Kirby l Newport High School l Senior Pictures 2010

 With fall comes many things...changing leaves, colder weather, pumpkin spice lattes and  the START of a new school year...and for Will Kirby it means Senior year of high school. Will, a very talented and accomplished trumpet player, he is an example of school pride. From running cross country to playing in the award winning Newport High School marching band, the sky is the limit for this young man and his future. I had the pleasure of taking his senior pictures with the assistance of my husband Sean. We had a fun day of shooting, starting with Newport High School and ending with the Bellevue Botanical Gardens as some of our backdrops.
